First Cuts Announced

We are now three days in the Sea Dogs 2015 Training Camp and the team has announced it's first round of cuts.

As per a team release, here is the full list:

Some players left camp voluntarily to maintain their eligibility for NCAA hockey.

Alexander Arab, who had been at camp on loan from the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, has been released from his tryout.

Goaltender Blade Mann-Dixon has been loaned to the Moncton Wildcats pending a trade.

The training camp roster now sits at 47: five goaltenders, 16 defencemen and 26 forwards.

A look at Day 3

Here some thoughts and notes from the third day of camp:
  • 10th overall pick Alex D'Orio looked solid in net for Team White today, he had a shaky day yesterday.
  • The line of Joe Veleno, Anthony Salemi, and Morgan Barron is still going strong.
  • We got to see Ben Reid and Ben Reade playing together today, that could get confusing.
  • Mike and Joe Veleno met on the faceoff dot on several occasions.
  • Kyle Ward and Samuel Leblanc were really clicking today, they combined for two goals and a pair of assists.
  • Alex Kealey skated with the returnees this morning, good to see him back on the ice.
  • TVA Sports' Mikael Lalancette was in the house covering Sea Dogs camp, and probably Joseph Veleno.
