GAMEDAY: Pre-Season Game 4 vs Moncton


SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs and Moncton Wildcats are set to renew their provincial rivalry tonight in pre-season action at Harbour Station. Puck drop is set for 7pm atlantic.


Previous Games
Moncton comes into the game undefeated in exhibition play with a 2-0 record having last played August 16th beating the Halifax Mooseheads 5-1. Kelly Klima potted two goals and William Bower, Brendan Bornstein, and Eric Leger each scored a goal each. Sebastien Dupre and former Sea Dog Blade Mann-Dixon shared duties in net making a combined 26 stops. Mann-Dixon left Wildcats camp this week.

Saint John has a similar record at 2-1 and are coming off a strong 8-2 victory of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan last night at the K.C. Irving Regional Center. Sam Povorozniouk and Adam Marsh each netted a pair of goals while Adam Bateman, Matthew Highmore, Thomas Chabot, and Luke Green added singles. Marc-Antoine Turcotte and Alex Bishop stopped a combined 32 shots for the win.


Scoring Leaders
Leading the way for the Sea Dogs is Matthew Highmore and Ian Smallwood with a goal and two assists apiece. Jason Bell and Nathan Noel also have three assists each.

For the visitors, it is Brendan Bornstein and Noah Corson both with two goals and a pair of assists for four points. Kelly Klima is right behind them with two goals and a helper.


Notes
Between the pipes, both teams have decided their goaltending duos to start the season. Alex Bishop and Marc-Antoine Turcotte get the job for Saint John, while Zachary Fortin and Sebastien Dupre are the Wildcats netminders.

These two teams meet tonight for the first of three pre-season tilts. The next two will be Friday, August 27th at Harbour Station and then the next night, August 28th at the Coliseum in Moncton.
